Inchydoney Candles

 

Inchydoney Candles are hand poured and packaged by me, Louise Kingston at my home in Inchydoney. They are made from eco-friendly soy wax. They do not contain paraffin, lead or stearin. They contain essential oils and fragrance that is not tested on animals. They are made in small batches, by me, at home in an old beautiful cowshed. 

One stile and a pedestrian path that locals call the ‘short cut’ lies between me and my family home in Inchydoney. While people from all over the world flocked here on holidays when we were young, my family lived here year round and were always home for the summer holidays. We sported and played on those green leafy days, swam in the ocean and got chips in the coffee nook in the old Inchydoney Hotel. We had so many pen pals and friends from those days (and still do!). Most of the people in the nearest town, Clonakilty, spent their summer days at Inchydoney Beach. We hung out at the lifeguard’s hut and made friends with nearly every hotel resident that arrived to our shores. Every now and again a song on the radio will transport me back to those days, and now the scents from my candles do the same! The honeysuckle in the hedge, walking down the Inchydoney Road with the crew from the hotel—Houlihan’s loaf under my arm—Mr Murphy’s lemon meringue, my Mother’s garden, and wet, salty summer days (just to name a few).

Each scent in the Inchydoney candles range is a special Inchydoney memory. We all have them. I hope these scents bring back yours. And there are millions more memories to be made! ENJOY!
