Frame Sizing Guide

Our shop proudly holds a brilliant selection of prints from Irish-based artists/designers. Although we love the variety, it does lead to lots of headaches with working out and explaining framing options. We have tried to explain it all here but do get in touch if you are confused.

We stock quality wooden frames made by the Clonakilty-based framers, Strand Framing (very handy for us). They come with 2 hangers and so can be hung in a portrait or landscape orientation and with plexiglass so they do not shatter. We stock black, limed-white (off white) and natural wood frames in our more popular sizes  (although there may be a small wait if we are out of stock, we will have it for you in about a week).

Some artists send their work mounted (eg The Designer of Things or Love Lani's Art), some unmounted (eg Dusty Boy Designs or Sorrell Reilly) and some with a printed mount (eg The Wild Felter or Sally Caulwell). You can pick your desired frame when checking out and can pick from the various colours and finishes available.

For the work that comes without a mount, we will add a mount with the frame. We do this for all prints except size A3 as this makes the print very big and difficult to send (an A3 sized print/framed print is the largest that we sell here). This means that for some prints, you will need to pick a larger size frame. We will make this clear in the product description for each product. Otherwise, your frame will fit your chosen mounted print as sent by the Maker.
