Collection: Cushendale Woollen Mills
Cushendale Woollen Mills is one of the few remaining Irish woollen mills continuing to create quality authentic textiles from the fleece of Irish sheep. Philip and Mary Cushen are keeping the tradition alive at their historic mill in Graiguenamanagh Co.Kilkenny.
The first mill was established on this site in 1204 by Cistercian monks, and the Cushen family trace their weaving heritage as far back as 1778. Cushendale designs and creates quality bespoke textiles from Irish wool, lambswool & mohair. All Cushendale yarns are uniquely dyed at the mill, a delicate and signature process which enhances the yarn fibres for a softer finish in a bespoke colour palette.
